Family subscription

We're launching an experiment with a Family annual subscription, allowing three students to learn for $999 + taxes per year.

This beats the standard Premium subscription, which would cost around $600 + taxes per year for a single account. Each student can save over $260 with the new annual subscription!

To set up a Family subscription:

1. Create a new account or use your existing Hyperskill account. Ensure that this account has Free subscription plan.
2. Reach out to our customer success team via this form to obtain a special link for activating the Family subscription. You will also receive a promo code to activate the discount for three learning seats. In your request, please provide the link to your Hyperskill account.
3. You will receive an email with a special link. After following this link, you will have access to the new Family Plan. To activate it, go to Pricing and open the Group subscription tab.
   
   
   
   
4. After clicking the Start family subscription button, you will be redirected to the JetBrains eStore to make the purchase.
   
   
   Fill out the form. Please provide an email address that you use as your login for your Hyperskill account.
5. On the next page (you will see JetBrains Academy for Organizations, please don't pay attention to that) do the following:
   5.1. Specify that you are making the purchase for three people.
   5.2. Apply a promo code that you received from the customer success team to activate the discount. Please note that the discount code will only apply to the purchase of three seats.
   
   
   
   5.3. Fill out the Company information section. Come up with a name for your group (it will be displayed in your Hyperskill account) and fill in the other fields with your personal information.
   If you are in Europe, the system may ask you to provide an EU VAT ID. You can confidently state that you don't have one, and it's not required.
   5.4. In the Company contact section, please provide the email address that you use as the login for your Hyperskill account and fill in your billing address.
   5.5. Fill out the Purchase details section as you would for a regular purchase.
   
   
   
   5.6. Make a payment. Great! You successfully subscribed and activated the Family annual subscription for three students.
6. Open the Family dashboard, navigate to the Members tab, and select Who can manage, while ensuring that you don't select Who can learn. You should be able to view yourself as the Owner.
   Next, click on the three dots and select the Edit permissions option situated to the right of the member's information on the list. Choose Can learn. Without this permission, active members can not check problems solutions and projects. But they still can read theory. 
   

From this moment, you can start your learning journey on Hyperskill. However, you still have two more learning seats on your account, so you can invite your friends or family members.

Invite members to your group:

Click the Invite button on the Group's page.

You can use the invitation link or invite by email. The new group member will be asked to register at Hyperskill or join with an existing account.
