The referral program is a great opportunity to help your friends or family members get started with Hyperskill. It is also a way to see your friends’ learning progress and maybe even get a little competitive with it! :)
Bonuses for inviting friends
For the first invited friend that registers and completes a stage, you will get 256 gems. Then 128 gems for the second friend, 64 gems for the third, and so on. Finally, for the ninth invited friend and every friend after you will receive 1 gem. The friend you invite will automatically get 3 months of the free trial period.
How to invite a friend?
Click your profile picture at the top-right corner of the website and choose Refer a friend in the drop-down menu.
You can copy the referral link from the opened page. Later you will be able to see all your friends and their progress here as well. Send a referral link to the person you want to invite.
After clicking the link, they will need to choose the track and the starting project, and register at the Hyperskill as usual. On the registration page, they will be able to see who this link belongs to and information about 3 bonus months for the trial period. Your friend’s Subscription page will also show 3 bonus months for the trial period.
After the invited friend completes the first stage of their first project, you will automatically receive gems and will be able to see this transaction in the Your friends and rewards section.
I referred a friend but didn't get my trial extended. Why?
The referral link is intended for the people you'd like to invite to the platform and gives them a 3-months trial period. If you invite a friend, you'll get gem rewards.
I can't refer a friend. The link redirects me to the subscription page.
Currently, it is possible to refer a friend when you have a trial or an active subscription. This option is unavailable under the Free subscription plan.
