What is the trial period?
To give new learners an opportunity to explore JetBrains Academy and figure out if they want to commit to it, we’ve set up a free trial period.
Once you register at the Academy, your 7-day trial starts. During this time, you will have unlimited access to all the learning materials and the opportunity to study as much as you like.
Check the Subscription page to see how much time you have left. You can access it by clicking your profile picture at the top-right corner of the website and choosing Subscription from the drop-down menu.
Can I extend the trial period?
Feel like a week is not enough to make up your mind? We’ve got you covered!
You can extend the 7-day trial period first by completing one stage of the project. This will add 1 month to your trial period. And during that month, you can complete the whole project to add another month to the trial. Bonus time will be added automatically, so don’t worry about any extra steps. You will see the congratulatory message and receive a notification after the completion of the project or the project stage.
Please note: opening the Solutions Tab for the page will prevent you from completing it. If you click the "See the Solution" button, you will have to solve another stage of the project.
This way you can receive up to 2 months of free unlimited access to the JetBrains Academy.
What happens after the trial ends?
After the trial period ends, you will lose access to the Academy and you will need to start a subscription to gain it back. Don’t worry about canceling your subscription or missing the end of the trial: if you haven’t actively started the subscription, you won’t be charged.
Please note, clicking Start your subscription on the Subscription page will automatically end your trial and start the paid subscription!
At the JetBrains eStore you will have to fill out all the payment information and place the order. After the order is processed, you will be charged and will receive a check and subscription info to the specified email address.
I completed a project stage, but my trial didn't extend. Why?
Please check if you used the "Look up solution" option. Opening the Solutions tab for a project stage prevents you from completing it and doesn't count towards your progress. You will have to solve another stage of the project.
