How can I start a subscription?
Go to your Subscription page > Start Subscription (or Go to your JetBrains Account, if you already have active JetBrains subscriptions). There you can start the subscription or change your plan from monthly to annual (and vice versa).
If for some reason you can’t access annual/monthly subscription options this way, please use these direct links for annual and monthly subscriptions.
Will my account be automatically charged after my free period ends?
It won’t happen automatically: in order to start the subscription, you’ll need to click Start my subscription on the Subscription page and fill out your payment information.
Will I have access to JetBrains Academy learning content after my free period ends?
All the code you write in your IDE while solving code challenges or working on projects is stored locally on your machine, and you can keep it without any restrictions. We are working on providing access to your learning history after your subscription ends. Please comment and vote for the corresponding feature request in our issue tracker.
The Frontend Developer track is currently in beta testing and available to everyone for free. Kotlin Basics track is free for everyone regardless of subscription.
Are the beta tracks free?
No. Even though beta tracks are subject to minor errors and bugs, they are not free unless explicitly marked.
Why the total price of the subscription is higher than I expected?
As a global supplier, we are bound by international laws and tax regulations, so VAT or GST might be applied to your order.

Why the price on your website is shown in USD, but my order uses a different currency?
As noted on the JetBrains Academy platform before checkout, prices in USD are for reference only. The actual price and payment currency may differ depending on your region.
How is the time for the annual subscription calculated? Does it include 365 days or only 2021?
Annual subscription means 365 days. So, if you’ve started your subscription, for example, on January 5th, 2021, it will end on January 5th, 2022.
I’ve registered at the Academy before July 1, 2020, and my free trial period ends on January 1. Can I do anything to extend the free trial?
Unfortunately, no. There are no special options to extend the subscription for you even further. But you’ll have a 50% discount for your subscription purchases for the following 12 months.
Do I have to start the subscription right after my free trial ends to use the 50% discount I’ve got?
To redeem your 50% discount, you can start your subscription anytime before March 1, 2021.
Do you plan to introduce discounts or free subscriptions for students or those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds?
We are taking steps towards making JetBrains Academy more affordable. We have recently introduced the ISIC collaboration, which allows students with ISIC cards to get 50% off their subscription. More information can be found on this page.
In addition, when your trial period ends, you will see the Request Financial Aid button on your subscription page. If accepted, it will grant you another 3 months of the trial period.
Does the Free educational licenses program include the subscription for JetBrains Academy?
Currently, JetBrains Academy subscription is not part of the free educational licenses for JetBrains products.
Is there any way to pause the subscription?
Unfortunately, there's no way to pause the subscription. However, if you opt for a monthly subscription, you can disable the auto-renewal option in your JetBrains Account. Once your subscription is expired, you can manually renew it when you have enough time to study.
Can I transfer my subscription between my JetBrains Academy profiles?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to do so.
Can I use Financial Aid twice?
Unfortunately, no.
