How can I earn a certificate of completion?
Getting a certificate of completion is the perfect way to showcase the skills you’ve gained through your learning, help you stand out in the job market, and advance your career. Hyperskill certificates are personalized and can be easily attached to your résumé or LinkedIn profile. Below you’ll find information on how to complete your learning course and achieve a certificate of completion.
Types of projects in the course
We offer two types of projects: graduate and regular.
Graduate projects embody the learning outcomes of the course. Such projects are also marked with a special icon. Graduate projects combine the basic and more complex aspects of programming to help you verify your programming skills. Please note, at least one graduate project is required for the course completion.
Regular projects are our recommendations to help you practice your programming skills and solidify your knowledge before challenging yourself with graduate projects! We recommend you a project if 90% of its topics already belong to your current course.
Types of topics in the course
To check your progress, click the Course button in the top menu to open the navigation bar. The dashboard includes two progress bars:
- the number of topics you completed within your course,
- and the number of core topics applied by completing project stages.
Completing topics is simple: you can study them by following the study plan for your current project. Alternatively, you can study the topics of your interest on the Knowledge map regardless of the project of your choice.
Applying core topics is a bit trickier: these are the topics included in the graduate projects. To add a core topic to your progress, you need to finish a project stage that has this topic in the requirements. The project stage may belong to any project within the course, regular or graduate.
To see how a particular project will affect your progress, you can check the project card. At the bottom of the card, you will see how many new topics you will learn by completing the project and the number of core topics applied through project stages.
If you want to apply core topics faster, we recommend completing graduate projects since they usually cover more topics.
How can I earn a certificate of completion?
- Complete at least 95% of all the topics in the course,
- Complete project stages and apply 95% of the topics to practice,
- Complete at least one graduate project (excluding those with Beta status).
You can receive your certificate by clicking the Issue the certificate button under the current course on your profile page.
Certificates are available only with an active Premium or Organizational plan (not the trial).
Currently, there is no certification program for the beta courses. However, if you worked on a course before its release out of beta, your progress will be saved, and you’ll be able to receive a certificate once the course is completed.
