There are several ways to use JetBrains IDEs for free:
- A one-month trial is available for each JetBrains IDE.
- If you are a student or teacher, you can get a free educational license for JetBrains IDEs at https://www.jetbrains.com/community/education/#students.
- You can obtain a free JetBrains IDE license while studying on Hyperskill.
With All Product Pack license, you can download any of JetBrains IDEs and use them for free. You can also use multiple products at the same time. This license is for educational purposes only.
How to obtain a license key for the All Products Pack license while studying on Hyperskill?
You need to follow these steps:
- You need to have an active Premium Hyperskill subscription for more than one month, not a trial, Mobile or Organization subscription (within the first month, you can use the trial).
- Connect JetBrains account to your Hyperskill profile. To do so, go to Connect external login accounts and choose JetBrains Account from the list.
- Complete 3 topics within 7 days. The choice of topics is up to you: you can follow your study plan or pick topics from the Knowledge map. If you studied several topics and connected your JetBrains Account afterward, please make sure to complete 3 more topics.
After fulfilling the conditions, you will get an email letter with the key. You will also receive a notification in your Hyperskill profile with a coupon code. To use the coupon code, fill out the form on the redeem your coupon code page. Please make sure to pick All Products Pack from the list of Tools & IDEs.
How long is the license valid, and how can I extend it?
Every license lasts for one month. After its expiry date, just continue learning on Hyperskill and complete 3 more topics to get a new code.
I did the necessary steps and still haven’t received the coupon code. What should I do?
Please check if you have a valid All Products Pack license in your account. In this case, you will have to wait for it to expire to receive a new coupon code. Please also check the spam folder.
I get an error when trying to redeem the coupon code. What should I do?
Please check if you have any other (expired or active) licenses in your JetBrains account. Currently, it is not possible to have a single-product license and the All Products Pack (APP) license connected to your JetBrains profile at the same time. You need to go to your license page and click Upgrade to APP in the window to use the APP license. After that, use a coupon to upgrade. The other way is to use different accounts.
In addition, make sure that you choose All Products Pack from the list of Tools & IDEs.
